Eligibility
The Japan Fuji Online programs are available to all high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, or home schoolers, who:
- Maintain a GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
- Fluent in the English language
- Ages 15-18
- Prepared to give 7-10 hours each week for both in and out of class study. Most live classes are offered in the evening. Check weekly schedule for more specific times.
- Enthusiastic about learning the Japanese language
Additional notes:
- It's advised that students entering our Japanese 1 course are familiar with the basic hiragana and katakana. Visit Resources for more information.
- Our AP Exam prep course is suited for students currently enrolled in, or have completed Japanese 4 or 4th-year high school Japanese.
- Our Summer Intensive courses will also be open to college students and will require 20 hours plus each week of both in and out of the class study.
Technical Requirements
Our virtual classroom uses Zoom to conduct our live classes. All you need is a decent and reliable computer with webcam, printer, and high-speed internet connection (upload and download speed should be greater than 25 Mbps, preferably greater than 40 Mbps) and you’re good to go! A microphone and headphones are optional.
