Accounting for Credits

For a minimal additional fee, students can get a transcript from one of our accredited US university sponsors. Most schools will recognize and transfer the credits but it is up to each student to determine if and how the credit will transfer.


Our Partner Universities

Japan Fuji Online, through KCP International Japanese Language School, has three partner universities:

Western Washington University is a nationally recognized institution with a focus on providing the highest quality education. With a student population of over 15,000, WWU consists of eight colleges and several independent departments. WWU’s Education Abroad department promotes meaningful educational opportunities abroad for students, as well as faculty and staff.

Founded in 1889, the University of Idaho serves over 11,000 students. The residential campus is in Moscow, with educational centers in Boise, Coeur d’Alene, and Idaho Falls; nine Research and Extension centers, and Extension offices in 42 counties. UI’s Education Abroad department has a solid reputation for providing its students access to quality study abroad experiences and for aiding in the development of globally competent students.

Founded in 1854, Lincoln University’s main campus is in the idyllic southern Chester County in Pennsylvania. Lincoln University is the nation’s first degree-granting Historically Black College and University, or HBCU. Its first students went abroad in 1859! Lincoln University continues to provide students with plenty of opportunities to study abroad and enrich their global experience.


Transcripts from our Partner Universities

Western Washington University, the University of Idaho, and Lincoln University serve as the School of Record for KCP International Japanese Language School. For an additional $375, you will earn a transcript if your home school requires a US transcript to accept the credits for this program.

Western Washington University will transcribe courses using an International Studies designation.

  • WWU follows the quarter calendar system.
  • Each Fall, Winter and Spring Japan Fuji-KCP courses will appear as 6 quarter credits.
  • Our Summer Intensive course will be issued as a block of 12 quarter credit hours.

The University of Idaho will transcript courses as Japanese credits.

  • First year Fall, Winter and Spring courses equal 4 semester credits.
  • Second year courses beginning Fall, Winter and Spring will each equal 3 credits.
  • The Summer Intensive course will be issued as two or three courses. For first year, there will be 8 credits total. For second year, there will be 9 credits total.

Lincoln University will transcript courses as Japanese credits.

  • Each course starting in Fall, Winter and Spring are equal to 4 semester credits.
  • The Intensive Japanese Summer program is equivalent to 8 semester credits.

Affiliate Schools

Students attending one of KCP International Japanese Language School’s affiliate schools in the USA may also be able to earn credit directly from their home school. Students will want to check with their Study Abroad or Study Away offices for more information.
